Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980. She's an American actress and singer. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), an RN, and Tom Bell, a television news director. Kristen was born in Michigan's Huntington Woods with the family of a Polish mother and a father that has a mix of German, English Irish, Scottish, and Irish. Kristen's talent for entertainment was discovered at a very young age. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell's mom enrolled her at an agency prior to when her 13th birthday. She later appeared on television commercials and newspaper ads. Along with learning in private classes, she began her acting career around that time. Bell played a small part without credit in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band as well as the drama club. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school and she took home the role of Dorothy. Bell later moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell quit college in 2001 when she took the role of Becky for Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part is cut off and only the credits depict her. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in The Crucible Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
