Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini an entrepreneur. Linda is of Italian heritage (her paternal grandpa), Irish, German, English and Scottish (her mother). Linda lived within her native San Francisco Bay area, California, the youngest of four children. As a ten-year-old old, she became enthralled by acting when she performed the role of a singer in her school's Christmas production. Her next stage was performing at school and community theatre. Linda went to Saint Francis High School, Mountain View in California. Following graduation, she was required to make a choice in between New York, where she could pursue theater as a career, or Los Angeles, where film and television were her options. LA was her choice. Lily James is a stage name used for Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson, an English actress who was born on April 5, 1989. She was trained at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and started her career with the British television series Just William (2010). Following her breakout performance as Lady Rose MacClare on the period drama Downton Abbey between 2012 and 2015, her first breakthrough role was in the fantasy movie Cinderella in 2015. James went on portraying the role of Countess Natasha Rostova for the television adaptation War & Peace (2016).
